RideScan Secures
Scottish Enterprise Grant.

We are delighted to announce that RideScan has secured support from Scottish Enterprise through the SMART: Scotland programme for a £145,850 innovation project to accelerate the development of our independent AI monitoring technology for autonomous systems.

As autonomous systems become increasingly prevalent across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, nuclear, mining, logistics, and humanoid robotics, ensuring their safe and reliable operation is becoming more critical than ever. While robots continue to grow in capability, organisations require greater visibility into how these systems are performing over time and whether hidden issues may be developing beneath the surface

RideScan is addressing this challenge by developing technology that independently monitors robotic executions, identifies subtle performance degradation, and provides actionable insights into system reliability. Our mission is to help organisations deploy autonomous systems with greater confidence, safety, and trust.

The project will support the next phase of RideScan’s research and development programme, enabling us to further advance our cross-platform integration and calibration framework for robot-agnostic anomaly detection.

This milestone follows significant momentum for RideScan, including deployments and collaborations across multiple sectors where autonomous systems are operating in increasingly demanding environments. From industrial robotics and critical infrastructure to mining and emerging humanoid platforms, organisations are recognising the need for independent oversight of robotic performance.

“We believe every autonomous system should have independent oversight. As robots become more capable and autonomous, ensuring their safe and reliable operation becomes increasingly important. This SMART: Scotland support enables us to accelerate our mission of making robots safer, more reliable, and more trusted across industry.”

We are grateful to Scottish Enterprise for supporting innovation within Scotland’s technology ecosystem and for recognising the potential impact of independent AI monitoring in robotics.

We look forward to sharing further developments as we continue building the future of robot integrity monitoring.
